Helen Elliott is an independent safeguarding and child protection trainer.  She has wide-ranging experience as a practitioner and manager in children’s services and the Probation Service where she developed services in managing perpetrators of sexual and violent offenders.

Her career includes the role of manager of a Local Safeguarding Children Board which involved partnership working and delivery of multi-agency learning events.  Helen has contributed to national and London policy and procedures. She has contributed to the Home Office Ending Gangs and Exploitation initiative as an accredited peer reviewer and is an approved WRAP (Prevent) facilitator.  She also has experience as an associate lecturer on a Postgraduate Social Work Degree.

Helen has had a significant role developing and delivering training and support in safeguarding and child protection for schools, early years settings and other services through her continued work as an associate for a London authority Partnership for School Improvement. She can also provide consultancy and advice to help schools or other settings to review and develop their safeguarding processes.
